Who's Invited: Alpine Runners Members and Family (Guests are welcome to join us for the Party)

Events:

-11:30-12:00pm: Check out the course and distance before entering your predicted time.
-12:00pm: The race will start.
-12:15ish-4:00pm: Picnic/Party begins after the run.

What to Bring:

-A dish to share
-Sunscreen
-Insect Repellant

What will the Club Provide?

-Beverages (beer, soda, and water) and hotdogs.
-Bottled water will be supplied at the start, finish, and one stop along the course.
-Awards for this event are donated by many of our own Alpine members and by our Alpine sponsors.

What is the Alpine Predictor Race?

-This is an informal race put on by the Alpine Runners for members.
-The race distance is unknown until right before the race.
-Just prior to the start of the race, a map of the course and the total distance will be shared with all participants.
-Participants will then predict their race time.
-The distance is usually between 2 and 5 miles.
-Watches, GPS devices, and MP3 players are not permitted, and yes, we will be checking!!
-Who's eligible to participate? You must be a paid member to participate, but there is no fee for the race. Guests are welcome to join us for the party.

How Prizes are Awarded:

-The runner finishing closest to his/her predicted time wins first choice of awards donated by our sponsors!
-After that, the next closest will have the next choice and so on, until we run out of prizes.
