About the Kid's Fun Run

The Kid's Fun Run is a highlight of the Alpine Races. It's geared towards young children.  It includes a half mile race, quarter mile race, and a 100 Yard Dash.  The kids can participate in any or all of the Kid's Fun Run Races.  Registration is only $5 per child and includes a t-shirt!

The Alpine Runners also offer a free Kid's Running Camp that starts in the summer and goes up until the races.  Your children do not need to participate in the races to be a part of the camp, but we recommend it to add to the excitement of the camp!  Check back for details on the Kid's Running Camp!

Community Outreach

A donation of $4000 was made by the Alpine Runners Club to the Food Pantry in February 2017 with proceeds from the 2016 Alpine Races.

The St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry is completely run by volunteers and dependent upon donations of food and cash. As a member of the Anti-Hunger Coalition associated with the Northern Illinois Food Bank (NIFB), the Society is able to use monetary donations to purchase items from NIFB at a steep discount. The food pantry serves all residents of Lake County, Illinois who come to them for assistance.

An additional $3000 was donated to the Lake Zurich and Richmond Burton Girls and Boys cross country teams.
